  • Eat Often: Keep your body fueled by eating 5-6 smaller meals a day. Each meal should consist of two-thirds carbohydrates such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and one-third high-quality protein like fish, chicken.
  • Take In Protein Rich Foods: Include a variety of whole grains in your healthy diet, including whole wheat, brown rice, millet, quinoa, and barley. There is good evidence that eating protein rich foods can reduce your risk of obesity and illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis and some types of cancer.
  • Avoid Junk Foods and Fast Foods: Many teenagers eat junk food every day. This might be fizzy drinks and high-kilojoule snacks like potato chips. Junk foods are considered as poor diet. A poor diet can cause weight gain, high blood pressure, constipation, fatigue, and concentration problems – even when you’re young. So be careful while eating out!
  • Keep Your Body Hydrated: Drink 4-5 liters of water a day! If you don’t like to drink plain water, try adding citrus or a splash of juice, or brew infused teas like mango or peach, which have lots of flavor but no calories.
  • Join Fitness Training Programs: Joining fitness training courses or programs is the best and effective way to maintain your diet and body health. It’s advisable to join a licensed and accredited weight loss center in Michigan to make sure your body gets all it needs to stay healthier and stronger!

It’s important to take in healthy diet throughout your life, no matter what age you are – there’s never a bad time to make some changes and improve your eating habits. Then why wait? Start taking necessary steps to stay healthy! For more details on weight loss programs in Michigan, click here.
